perezhamilton: We wouldn’t take it for free!! Peter Minuit is said to have bought the island of Manhattan from the Indians for trade goods valued at 60 Dutch guilders.  Those sneaky Indians are up to no good to sell it for THAT cheap. The land is probably plagued with death and disease. Burn it, Peter!!
